The Ecommerce Team Member is responsible for maximizing the value of donations by facilitating the online sale of merchandise. The Ecommerce Team Member is responsible for a variety of critical operational and online tasks depending on current department needs. Including, but not limited to, reviewing donations for authenticity and value, online tracking and processing, creating accurate online item listings to advertise and sell high value donations, pulling packaging and shipping of sold merchandise and providing excellent customer service. This position will be guided by the values of GCT to support in the overall operation and growth of the Ecommerce departments.


  • Accepting and organizing stacks of heavy totes or duratainers using dollies or pallet jacks.
  • Writing clean and concise item listings that communicate all critical details about item to potential bidders/customers.
  • Accurately uses grammar, spelling and punctuation in item listings.
  • Ongoing development of personal product base of knowledge to reduce need for detailed research.
  • Carefully photographs each item using department specifications and accurately communicates all critical details about each item to potential bidders/customers.
  • Safety package and ship each item in the most cost-effective manner to the correct customer.
  • Respond to customer requests in a polite, timely and professional manner.
  • Maintains a positive, team-oriented relationship with management, peers and subordinates.
  • Ensure safety standards are met by maintaining clean and organized personal and shared work areas at all times.

  • Must be able to understand work instructions in English.

  • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles. Will be outside at various collection times and temperatures may vary depending upon season.
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours.
  • Ability to repeatedly bend and twist.
  • Ability to lift and carry 70 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Sufficient eyesight and manual dexterity to differentiate between and classify items.
