Clinical Analyst RN

Evaluates interventions performed by Fresenius Health Partners (FHP) Care Navigation coordinators for clinical effectiveness through monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcome metrics. Works with departmental leadership to determine causality of suboptimal KPIs. Works closely with the Clinical Interventions lab to operationalize clinical pilots and determine scalability of successful interventions into the Care Navigation Unit workflows.


* Works on complex issues where analysis of data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

* Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel. Networks with key contacts outside of area of expertise.

* Summarize results of analyses in written reports and oral presentations as required.

* Utilize critical thinking, time management and detailed knowledge of the Care Navigation Program to evaluate the coordination of care for patients assigned to the Care Navigation Unit

* Maintains familiarity with current workflows performed by Care Navigation coordinators.

* Understands the dynamics that exist within the chronic disease patient's care team

* Willing to question intuition

* Able to change directions quickly as new insights emerge within an analysis

* Remains current with relevant value based literature.

* Discover and understand technological applications utilized within FMCNA and consider external applications when appropriate to be used for improvement of intervention effectiveness.

* Communicate and review care coordination data with key stakeholders.

* Provides assistance to other staff with complex tasks that require considerable judgment and initiative.

* Mentor other staff as applicable.

* Communicate any potential issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary

* Maintain the integrity of Protected Health Information (PHI)

* Maintain current knowledge of the departmental program software and the Company's clinical information systems

* Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.

* Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.

* Other duties as assigned.

* Travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings may be required.


* Health Plan Service Operations Specialists, Clinical Operations Specialists, and/or Care Navigation Nurse Coordinators working individual pilots


* Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred

* Registered nurse (RN), preferred background in managed care


* Minimum of 5 years' related experience

* 6+ years' related experience as a Registered Nurse.

* Nephrology experience a plus, but not required

* Must be organized, a self-starter, and must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Excellent verbal, written and meeting presentation skills

* Successful project management and problem resolution

* Excellent analytical and leadership skills

* Must have good working knowledge of computer systems with emphasis on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and computer user interfaces

* Demonstrates superior collaboration skills and techniques; resolves conflicts, and creates lasting, productive partnerships with cross-functional team members.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.

* Demonstrates ability as a strong tactical decision-maker.
