TITLE: Customer Service Rep/Office Clerk

DEPARTMENT: Warehouse

FUNCTIONAL AREA: Commercial Warehousing, Inc.

REPORTS TO: Supervisor

SUMMARY:

Perform clerical and office work as assigned. Work involves standard clerical duties of a highly procedural nature including filing, sorting, and mathematical computations, posting data, keeping records and operating office machines. Assist Billing Manager and Operations Manager with miscellaneous tasks.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

The focus of this level is on work of a highly procedural nature. Incumbents must know how to operate a personal computer and other office machines in carrying out job-related tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Checks in drivers as they arrive at our facilities and coordinates with the dock personnel for the assignment of doors for loading or unloading.

* Performs clerical work such as entering orders and receipts into our WMS system.

* Prints all documentation needed for unloading and loading of trucks such as pick tickets, check sheets, lot labels, put away sheets, bills of lading, and receipt notices.

* Works closely with the operations for printing special request documents and inventories.

* Performs all filing by customer and date.

* Answers telephones and personal inquiries, routes visitors and calls to the appropriate personnel, and schedules all appointments for inbound and outbound carriers.

* Operates a variety of office equipment.

* Sorts and files correspondence, reports and other materials, alphabetically, numerically, or by other established classification.

* Works closely with the operations to make sure the necessary supplies are in stock.

* Performs clerical work such as entering orders and receipts into customers' dedicated WMS systems, when applicable.

* Review all documentation and ensure the SOP's are being followed.

* Make sure the cycle count reports are printed daily per our SOP's, counted and signed by the supervisor of each facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Training:

Graduation from high school and two years of general clerical and customer service experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the desired knowledge, abilities and skills.

Licensing and Certification:

None.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Some knowledge of business communications.

* Some knowledge of office practices, methods and procedures.

* Experience in a warehousing environment using Warehouse Management systems

* Ability to operate a variety of modern office equipment, including microcomputers and other electronic equipment; ability to type.

* Ability to perform clerical work of standard difficulty.

* Ability to write legibly, use proper grammar and punctuation and to follow oral and written instructions.

* Ability to work at routine assignments for extended periods as needed.

* Ability to pay close attention to detail.

SHIFT REQUIREMENTS:

* Night Shift Opt# 1 -

Sunday-Tuesday 7 P.M. - 7 A.M. & Saturday 1 A.M - 7 A.M.

* Night Shift Opt# 2 -

Wednesday -Friday 7 P.M. - 7 A.M. & Saturday 7 P.M. - 1 A.M.
