Aerospace Receiving Level 1 - Weekend Shift (Fri-Sun 6:00am-6:30pm)

JOB SUMMARY

Finish Receiving/Planner is responsible for performing clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping and receiving inner-company deliveries and creating new engineering masters based on customer's purchase order and drawing requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ships and receives inner company goods and packages.

* Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing inner office shipments and prepares items for shipment.

* Loads and unloads goods from inner company trucks, as needed.

* Routes items to appropriate departments or shop floor areas.

* Generates purchase orders for outside processing.

* Review repeat orders to ensure drawing revision compliance.

* Receives Skills' outside processing shipments into Visual inventory.

* Assists with moving Boeing purchase orders from Exostar.

* Lift and move items and packages, as required.

* Interpret information from parts list and customer's purchase order to create engineering master.

* Read and understand individual component drawings.

* Write detailed finish processing steps.

* Follow continuous improvement to ensure highest quality, lowest cost and on-time delivery.

* Maintain an efficient and high quality work performance.

* Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.

* Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

* U.S. Person status required due to export control.

* Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products.

* Ability to juggle priorities and multi-task.

* Experience with an MRP software package a plus.

* Must be able to take direction from lead and supervisor to complete assigned tasks.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* Ability to deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles.

* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

* Experience working in a team environment.

* Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing aerospace industry.

* Ability to read and interpret Aerospace blue print documents.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* High School degree or equivalent and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Ability to read work instructions and procedures in English.

* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
