Job Summary

The role of the Quality Analyst is to support the development and execution of the quality improvement strategy for Volkswagen Group of America's (VWGoA) network of service parts distribution centers.

The primary responsibilities of the Quality Analyst include:

* Working collaboratively within Parts Logistics to support claim reduction initiatives by developing and implementing warehouse quality improvement initiatives

* Leading network wide warehouse audits to monitor adherence to standard and repeatable warehouse processes and VW Group Quality requirements

* Developing, analyzing and distributing network quality reports.

Job Responsibilities

* Quality Initiatives (40%) – Ensure that VWGoA process quality initiatives are effectively coordinated between all Parts Logistics stakeholders and that they are in compliance with VW Group quality standards.

* Represent the Supplier Integration and Total Quality Management Team with RDC/PDC network team members.

* Support RDC/PDC network team members with the investigation and resolution of process quality topics.

* Lead monthly meetings with warehouse management teams to utilize data to identify warehouse quality opportunities and develop corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence and drive continuous improvement.

* Monitor the effectiveness of the network quality corrective actions and identify best practices to share with the other facilities.

* Audit (50%) – Conduct Logistics Process Audits as the lead auditor, and conduct internal depot calibration reviews to assess the adherence to Group and Internal Parts Logistics requirements. In addition, this role will interface with other Parts Logistics teams to identify and implement process improvements and claim reduction opportunities within the VWGoA parts distribution network.

* Assess process compliance as it relates to inbound, outbound and storage practices.

* Assess pack-out and loading process compliance relative to the effectiveness of preventing transportation damage to goods.

* Identify non-conformance, establish a corrective action plan to address each deviations and complete regular follow up to ensure completion.

* Highlight and share high performance areas, in order to contribute to continuous improvement.

* Compile Logistics Process Audit results and develop PDC/RDC specific action plan to fulfill German audit requirements.

* Lead quarterly meetings with Auburn Hills and warehouse management teams to review the action plan and provide recommendations as needed.

* Follow up on key tasks and objectives to ensure VWGoA Parts Logistics team meets market expectations for a Global Master Depot location.

* Reporting (10%) - Comply with VWGoA Supplier Integration Team as well as VW Group guidelines with regard to warehouse quality reporting and audit tracking guidelines.

* Create and distribute Supply Chain metrics and monthly quality reporting.

* Create ad-hoc quality reports to support RDC/PDC network quality objectives.

Required Experience

* 3-5 years of experience in warehousing operations, project management, supply chain or related field

Required Education

* Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience (Purchasing, Materials Handling, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering)
