Assists in checking and testing meters, relays, heating, and air-conditioning equipment. Assists and participates in sanding sheet rock. Pulls electric cables. Operates simple power tools, such as belt sanders and electric drills. Changes light bulbs.
Enters work orders and associated data into tracking system to ensure accurate equipment records. Maintains accurate inventory of tools and parts. Orders parts and communicates with outside vendors as needed.
Excellent customer service. In addition to “other duties as assigned“, this position may be required to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibility in order to provide both back-up for a department as well as to supplement resources needed during certain times of the year.
Performs various routine repair and maintenance tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Cleans work areas, tools, and equipment. Transports tools and equipment to and from the storage and working areas. Operates vehicles to pick up and deliver supplies. Assists in transporting raw materials, semi-finished products, and supplies.
High school diploma or GED and six months experience assisting carpenters, electricians or other skilled trades employees. Valid Georgia Driver's License.
