Amazon has an immediate opening for a Senior Program Manager in our Amazon corporate office. The Program Manager delivers complex medium to large scale projects from initiation through delivery. Your focus is on cross-functional projects that serve major parts of the business, are business critical, and may be global in nature. You may lead other program managers for large projects and recommend improvements in the way projects are scoped, tested, and deployed across the company. This will require you to communicate across departments as an authority on project issues to business managers, engineers, and executives. You will also support critical relationships with customers, and negotiate agreements with suppliers or other external partners.

As the Program Manager, you will collaborate with technical and business team members to create products/features or processes. You are the primary escalation point for project team members. You comprehend the program’s customers and advocate on their behalf, communicating business objectives to team and stakeholders to deliver the best product/feature or system/process with most efficient use of resources and technologies. You manage the creation of product/feature prototypes. You will write clear and detailed functional specifications based on complex business requirements, and serve as an authority on project issues to business managers, engineers, and other program managers.

Key job responsibilities

Work directly with UC VP on Product and Services roadmaps and timelines stay on track and work with partner services that own projects and deadlines that impact roadmap deliverables.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years program management experience on a global scale.

Preffered Qualifications

  • Experience communicating with a diverse audience, including the ability to propose complex solutions and explanations in writing.
  • Global experience with program launches in multiple geographies simultaneously.
  • Project/Program management certification (PMP, CAPM, CSM, etc.)
  • Experience communicating with senior management (Director/VP-level).
  • Ability to comprehend, troubleshoot, and describe complex processes and issues to colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing quality programs with spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Good vision, process-oriented and strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to deliver effective customer communications and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
