Job Summary

You must have at least 5-7 years of experience in US and international brand portfolio management. With respect to Intellectual Property (IP), you will be responsible for overseeing outside counsel to manage our IP portfolio, including trademark, patent and copyright portfolios, enforcement and oppositions, clearances, and IP litigation. With respect to marketing, your primary responsibilities will include day-to-day review of creative assets (broadcasting, publishing, digital, social and POP), promotions and sweepstakes, labeling, influencer agreements, JPAs and agency agreements. You will provide strategic advice to our executive management team, and counseling to our Marketing, eCommerce and Innovation teams. You will be responsible for the management of our entire intellectual property portfolio, including international matters with foreign associates. You must be versatile, enthusiastic, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and have sound judgment, particularly in ambiguous situations. You will work from our expanding corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA and report to the General Counsel.

Job Requirements:

* Experience working in a firm with an established IP practice, and, ideally, in-house, handling IP and Marketing.

* Knowledge of FTC and state consumer protection laws.

* Strong conversational, collaborative, negotiation and written communication skills.

* Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple matters at once, follow through and meet deadlines.

* Self-starter with ability to think and work independently and in a group environment.

* Highest personal standards of excellence and integrity.

* Superior academic credentials.

* GA Bar or eligibility for registration as in-house in Georgia.

* A practical, hands on approach to handling legal matters.
