Graciano Corporation is currently accepting resumes for a full time Assistant Project Manager/Sales Estimator. This position, a key contributor to the company's growth and profitability, is responsible for all pre-construction activities for new jobs, to include accurate development and compilation of project cost estimates and the preparation of company bid proposals through blueprint takeoff, material pricing, and labor analysis for competitive bidding projects as well as conceptual estimating projects. The position interfaces with external construction directors and managers, engineers and architects in the development of cost estimates.

Responsibilities

Responsiblities:

* Seeks job leads individually on a weekly basis through company-approved lead sites and organizations. Secures opportunites for the company to quote on private and public restoration construction projects.

* Prioritizes weekly job leads forwarded from the company's business development/customer realationship manager, as well individually identified leads to ascertain completeness of project information and evaluates viability of pursuing the projects.

* After receipt of project contracts, reviews and approves project budgets with President. Responsible for the transformation of all project information from project estimates to project budgets and productivity standards.

* Prepares construction estimates by studying plans, performing and compiling quantity takeoffs, organizing trade scopes of work and determing bond requirements for complete bids through sound mathematical calculations and utilization of the company's proven cost-estimating methods and Microsoft Excel software.

* Performing project managmenet responsibilities for assigned projects by the President and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills Required:

* Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications for construction projects; adept in the usage of computer estimating systems. Also, ability to complete AIA documents.

* Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills; ability to make sound judgment calls with limited information and data.

* Ability to draft and proofread technical and business documents, including the use of appropriate language, correct grammer and spelling.

* Ability to manage multiple projects, including the development and management of timelines and deadlines that allow for appropriate time for internal reivew of proposals and meeting external deadlines.

Associate or BS degree in engineering, construction sciences, project management, or other equivalent work experience is required. A minimum of nine months of estimating experience performing bids, Microsoft Office products, and excellent oral and written communication skills are also required.
