About the Position: This position is for a Public Affairs Specialist GS-1035-14, Army Marketing and Research Group, Marketing Division, Arlington, VA.

* Serve as a Public Affairs Specialist (Senior Program Manager, Social/Strategic Online Media Outreach) in the U.S. Army Marketing and Research Group (AMRG).

* Serve as senior program manager for Social Computing, Strategic Media Outreach, Social Media Engagement, Digital Influencer, Mobile and other social and digital initiatives.

* Establish Policy and supervises the integration of Social Media components with the GOARMY Web platform to include Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Flickr, Google+ and other social platforms as they arise.

* Supervise the Content Management for the social media/digital/mobile components of GOARMY?s public websites.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. One year of specialized experience which includes: using social media concepts, principles and practices to publicize career opportunities, activities and services; researching, developing, planning, directing and/or executing a Social Media outreach campaign; determining the most effective approaches and emerging technologies, systems and applications to employ in reaching specialized publics; assessing the effectiveness of existing social media strategies to provide guidance on future social media strategies.

This definition of specialized experience it typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
