Human Resources - Absence Disability Management Analyst
 Arlington, VA

This position has responsibility for managing the various US absence programs at Willis Towers Watson which includes short term disability, long term disability, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Military leave and Paid Time Off (PTO) programs.

The Role

  • Coordinate numerous components of the various absence programs and serve as the contact for the impacted colleague, the disability vendor, and other stakeholder groups
  • Communicate complex details in an understandable manner to colleagues
  • Ensure absence programs are administered consistently
  • Manage the ongoing administration of the PTO program including responding to colleague inquiries providing a high level of customer service orientation
  • Work on special projects as required

The Requirements

  • Associate degree, or BS/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of related employee benefits administration experience and familiarity with regulations such as FMLA and state disability plans
  • Strong computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Oracle Cloud, SharePoint and People Soft HR (these HR systems are a plus but not required)
  • Willingness and ability to work independently and on a team
  • Must be accustomed to a fast paced, high volume environment with deadlines and last minute requests
  • Project management skills
  • Self-starter and quick learner
  • Ability to prioritize requests and duties
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be detail-oriented
