We are hiring a People Operations Associate for our People Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Oscar's benefits programs (health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plans, 401(k) plan, and voluntary benefits), managing leave of absence, and Workday operations for our Tempe location. The role will report to our Manager of People Operations.

Here at Oscar we move quickly and are perpetually introducing new ideas. We need you not only to be able to think analytically and strategically, but, just as important, to execute on those ideas.

Responsibilities:

During your first six weeks, you should have:

* Developed an in depth understanding of our current benefit plans and offerings

* Developed an in depth understanding of our leave of absence plan and offerings

* Developed an in-depth understanding of our People team workflow and processes

* Begun to independently respond to benefits, leave of absence issues requiring analysis

* Developed working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

* Begin to become a critical source of support for our Tempe employees for benefits, leaves and absence, and Workday inquiries

* Begin to familiarize yourself with Workday Benefits

Afterwards and on an ongoing basis, you will:

* Coordinate daily benefits processing (benefits enrollment, terminations, integrations, reporting, COBRA, health, dental, vision, STD/LTD, Worker's Compensation, Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k)).

* Prepare and manage Tempe Open Enrollment in partnership with VP of Talent Operations.

* Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package.

* Provide benefits training and support to Tempe employees.

* Provide exemplary support on benefits inquiries, research and resolve employee benefits issues.

* Manage LOA (Leave of Absence) cases for employees while on approved leaves: STD, LTD, FMLA, Workers Compensation, etc. including communications and interactions with employees, managers, and our People team.

* Ensure Workday system data integrity by addressing system queries/issues, testing system changes, and analyzing data.

* Assist/implement and test two semi-annual releases and ad hoc changes.

* Maintain and audit (monthly and quarterly) employee data for accuracy and quality.

* Manage Workday self-service inquiries.

* Generate monthly and on-demand report requests, custom reports for internal requests; assist in the development of complex reports.

About you:

* 3-5 years of benefits and leave of absence experience with a proven track record of success

* Bachelor's degree required

* Experience with Workday and Workday Benefits a plus

* Knowledge of the 5500 filings, 1094/95C, and NDT relative to 401K

* Experience administering leaves of absence
