Warehouse Associate

Picking and packing customer specific orders according to their barcode and desired quantities listed. Other duties may be involved on an as needed basis

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

· Warehouse Associate will incoming orders from the designated area/station correctly and follow proper procedure

· Operate a Reach Truck

· Warehouse Associate will identify and use the barcode to locate all items listed on the customer order form

· Warehouse Associate will pick the exact quantity needed for all customer specific orders

· Warehouse Associate will double check that all items were picked correctly on each order form

· Warehouse Associate will unload semi trailers when needed

· Warehouse Associate will load packages in semi trailers when needed

Minimum Requirements

· Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent

· Must be able to work in a fast pace and physically moving environment

· Previous experience in warehouse/picking orders/manufacturing is a plus but not required

· Must be able to communicate effectively in a team environment

· Msust be able to cross train in all areas of the business

· Flexible with working overtime hours as needed

· Safety or steel toe shoes required

· Must have an understanding of basic math skills

· Team player

· Good listening and problem resolution skills

· Ability to follow instructions furnished in written and oral form

· Must have reliable transportation to/from jobsite

· Must be able to properly follow all workplace safety guidelines and requirements needed for the job

· Willing to sign a background check consent form releasing all consumer reports if offer is accepted

· Willing to sign an authorization and complete a drug test if offer is accepted

Essential Physical Requirements

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed for entire duration of shift

· Must be able to push/pull up to 180 pounds regularly for entire duration of shift

· Regularly required to use hands/wrists to fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arm extensions; talk and hear

· Must be able to sit/stand for 8-10 hours per day or duration of the shift

· Must be able to walk/move around at a fast pace for entire duration of the shift while in safety/steel toes

· Must possess good manual dexterity and eye coordination

· Must be able to fully bend, twist, and lift in all rotations

· Must be able to count to 50 promptly and diligently

· Must be able to bend at 45 degrees and pick orders that are low to the ground

· Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
