Overview

TDS is seeking an experienced, customer driven Project Consultant to meet the business needs of our clients.

The Project Consultant position leads the successful implementation of services for business customers to ensure the region attains its stated revenue objectives for network-based services such as managedIP/ VTN and Ethernet based Services such as SDI/MetroE. Will also provide the necessary in-office and on-site customer training according to business need and contractual commitments. The training is provided via face-to-face meetings whenever practical or via conference call. For the managedIP service, the PC conducts the administrator training, user training and provides ongoing support in the form of add-on training, user group meetings, and seminars

This position will provide support, project management, and customer training for Managed IP and Managed UC systems The support for our hosted systems includes coordination and communication of any questions or concerns to ensure the designs, engineering, and provisioning are accurate, complete, and meet the customer's needs. Responsibilities

* Assume primary responsibility for the successful implementation of Managed IP services. Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the entire order fulfillment process and day of installation on selected business accounts. Manage the project through successful upgrade including all customer contact, timing, coordination (internal resources, OEMs and vendors), and all admin and day of upgrade training.

* Assume primary responsibility for the successful implementation of Managed UC services. Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the entire order fulfillment process and day of installation on selected business accounts. Train customer on new system and attend customer upgrades as required.

* Assume primary responsibility for the successful implementation of voice/data services. Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the entire order fulfillment process and day of installation on selected business accounts. Manage the project through successful upgrade including all customer contact, timing, coordination (internal resources, OEMs and vendors) and customer training. Attend customer upgrades as required.

* Participate in trade shows, industry events and customer entertainment activities. Maintain relations with contacts and lead sources, which may include after hours events.

* Maintain and enhance technical knowledge and interpersonal skills by attending and/or leading professional development programs. Provide training and support systems as directed by supervisor.

* Participate in sales meetings and local sales training.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher OR 4+ years professional work experience

* 1 + years customer service experience

* 1+ years experience in leading training initiatives or customer demonstrations

* Must have and maintain a valid driver's license as travel is required and a necessary part of this position.

Other Qualifications:

* Sales and/or marketing experience including sales and/or technical support preferred

* Administrator and/or end user training experience with technical subject

* Great organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

* Strong product knowledge in pricing & system engineering

* Business system vendor-specific engineering & design training

* Proficient with Microsoft Office applications-Excel, Word & PowerPoint

* Ability to develop innovative and creative ideas for increasing sales, improving customer satisfaction .survey results and creating sales proposals
