The Indirect Tax Analyst is responsible for compliance with United States indirect tax laws and regulations as demonstrated by timely and accurate tax return filing, collaboration with colleagues, interactions with taxing jurisdictions, and continuous process improvement.


* Prepare and timely file basic and intermediate state and local indirect tax returns, general ledger account reconciliations, and related internal reports.

* Coordinate closely with tax team to communicate and correctly invoice and report interstate transactions.

* Determine tax treatment during the customer onboarding process and approve customers for invoicing.

* Assist with resolution of jurisdictional inquiries as assigned.

* Assist with jurisdictional audits as assigned including leveraging database query tools (Microsoft Access, SQL) to extract and analyze data.

* Monitor tax rate and law changes for assigned jurisdictions and communicate the potential impact to business operations.

* Proactive maintenance of indirect tax knowledge and professional development including attending tax conferences.

* Review system identified vendor invoicing discrepancies and work with vendors to resolve issues and recover any overpayments.

* Use tax research software to analyze how business opportunities will be treated and reported in assigned jurisdictions.

* Other responsibilities as assigned.


* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Proven ability to meet goals as part of a talented team

* Experience with Accounting software (AX, SAP, etc...)

* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)

* Basic tax research experience a plus
