Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions

Under direct supervision, performs routine tasks in dispensic therapeutic custodial care to adults in a secure residential housing forensic unit; monitors the movements, conduct, activities and basic care of residents; assists in the orientation of newly admitted patients; provides subprofessional counseling; prepares routine reports concerning observed patient behavior, progress and response to treatment of medications; confers with supervisors concerning special programs.

Minimum Requirements:Requires successful completion of an approved agency trainee program; requires ability to control, direct and restrain residents from harming themselves or others. Requires ability to observe resident behavior and ability to report unusual happenings; requires ability to understand and implement rules, regulations and policies of the facility and agency.
