The Non-Invasive Technologist III is responsible for performing cardiovascular ultrasound procedures on patients of every age utilizing ICAVL/ICAEL protocol. The technologist is also responsible for providing patient care for the patient who is undergoing a non-invasive procedure in the Non-Invasive Vascular lab pre, during, and post procedure. This person is also responsible for assisting physicians and must be knowledgeable in all equipment and supplies that are used in the department. It is the responsibility of the NIVL Tech III to notify the interpreting physician of any critical values immediately post procedure and for communicating and documenting the procedure related information of the procedure into the McKesson Cardiology system. The technologist must be knowledgeable in acquisition and storage of images and are also responsible for the operation of ultrasound equipment and patient safety. The technologist contributes to the excellence of care by utilizing the mission, vision and building blocks to guide them. They recognize themselves as an important part of a team in providing excellent care to the patient. # Qualifications:#High School Diploma or GED with registry certification OR graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology program and registry eligible required. If registry eligible, must complete within 6 months from date of hire. Registry preferred. Will consider registry eligible. Registries include: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) RVT, RCS, RDCS, and/or ARRT certification. Clinical experience or instruction in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging and experience in a non-invasive cardiovascular lab preferred. Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and produce quality images and store and retrieve digital images as required.##Possession of echo and vascular registries are a plus.#
