SUMMARY

The Revenue Audit Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Casino Accounting Manager to ensure that revenue which is generated by all revenue centers on the property is accurately and consistently recorded, taxed and reflected in reports to Senior Management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for supervising the daily activities of the revenue audit clerks

Assists the Accounting Manager as needed, to ensure the successful performance of assigned job duties

Assists with the preparation and posting of revenue journal entries to the general ledger for all revenues and related comp and coupon expenses and for reconciliation of certain general ledger accounts

Assists with the preparation of gaming tax returns on daily basis

Maintains spread sheets for tracking all revenue and related expenses and preparing daily reports to management.

Prepares financial and statistical reports for submission to senior management

Assists with maintaining staffing levels to ensure work is completed on time and accurately.

Assists with the development of staff members, including input for annual evaluations

Review revenue accounting activities with the Casino Accounting Manager to ensure continuity and accuracy

Will abide by all safety requirements as outlined in the Safety Manual or as required by individual departments and/or job functions

RISK MANAGEMENT

Will manage risk factors within the company department or division employed, in such a way as to eliminate company exposure to insurance claims and legal/court challenges. Ensures that all company, department or division activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. This includes but is not limited to adherence to Human Resource, safety and workers' compensation policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises one to five revenue audit clerks. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and two years related experience. Adequate on the job experience and training will be considered as a substitute for a college degree. Must be Excel proficient. Infinium software experience a plus. Basic knowledge of Patron Management and Machine Accounting systems are beneficial.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
