Head Start Program assistant

 Position:       Head Start Program Assistant
Location:       Anchorage
Pay Range:    DOE

Our client needs a team player to provide program support to  the Head Start Division - looking for someone with at least four years of office experience who loves working with diverse communities!  

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with preparation of reports
  • Office/site purchasing
  • Program inventory
  • Meeting agendas and minutes
  • Data entry
  • Correspondence writing
  • Time sheet collection and maintenance
  • Filing
  • Travel arrangements
  • Mail distribution
  • Copying
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Four years of office experience, preferably in Social/Human Services field
  • Knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Publisher and data entry software
  • Pleasant demeanor when dealing with public
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – must be a strong team player
  • Strong organizational and clerical skills
  • Able to work on multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
