Personnel Specialist

Superior Group is hiring a contract Personnel Specialist for our client located in Anaheim, CA. This opening will be temporary for a duration of 3-6 months and will work on day shift. General responsibilities will include technical, administrative duties in support of the human resources operations in the area of employee benefits and deferred compensation.
  • Responsible for supporting the Benefits Division with general oversight and preparation for new Hire orientation. This includes putting together benefit packets based on eligibility standard for each employee and scheduling, set up and breakdown of benefits orientation.
  • Enrolling newly hired employees into the HR Management system (Medical, Dental, Life insurance and potential dependent(s) and confirming eligibility with benefit vendors. Additional enrollments for dependents during qulifying lefe events will also be required.
  • Process life insurance claims for active employees and retirees. This includes working directly with employee/retiree and vendor to ensure timeliness in paperwork and completion of process.
  • Review over vendor requrests and reporting regarding enrollment discrepancies.
  • Additional assistance with rpocessing other types of enrollment entries may be needed during high volume times (Open Enrollment - October through January).
  • Daily review over the Benefits Edit Report to ensure accuracy in data entry. This report is an auditing process for making any data entry correction for active employees.
  • Handle day to day phone calls from employees and retirees. Meet with walk-ins to assist with their questions.
  • Assist Wellness Analyst with upcoming events such as Blood Drive and Health Expo.
  • Assit with varius projects, communications and events related to the Benefits Division.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources/Benefits Enrollment Processing.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in MS Office and Excel.

  • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree
