Specific Job Responsibilities
Serves as a Personnel Security Supervisor for the following areas: Citizenship, Argus access control system, Security Awareness, and Classified/unclassified Visit Control, Citizenship, HSPD-12 and LSSO (Local Site Specific Only) Badging, SD 206.2 implementation, and Access Authorization (Clearance Processing). Performs oversight and other work activities serving as the Personnel Security Manager in all areas of Personnel Security. Maintains accountability of all federal and contractor NCSA and FBI personnel badges. When necessary, prepares access and badge requests, schedules initial security briefings and other required training, and ensures all investigative personnel have appropriate access to Pantex facilities in order to perform interviews and background investigations based on badge requests provided by NPO. Ensures access is appropriately dispositioned when access changes, or when access is no longer required. Performs duties including, but not limited to: HSPD-12 program role holder as directed by management, resolves duplicate records, performs card actions, and suspends or terminates HSPD-12 credentials. Ensures hearing witnesses at Pantex are appropriately badged with a DOE or visitor badge for access. Performs as a Safety Manager to ensure team members conduct all duties in a safe manner. As needed, conducts presentations, safety pauses, and other activities to emphasize the importance of maintaining a safe work environment.
Leads visit control and Security Awareness personnel ensuring regulatory requirements are met and properly processed. Manages data to constantly evaluate effectiveness. Implements DOE Personnel Security directives; develops Pantex and CNS integrated policy and procedures that implement Personnel Security requirements. Interacts with S&S senior leadership, NPO Personnel Security, and other customers as required. Handles personnel matters associated with work groups. Interviews, hires or makes hiring recommendations, evaluates performance, coaches, counsels, rewards and disciplines employees, as appropriate, and trains and develops staff. Requires the ability to manage numerous complex tasks simultaneously. Must possess flexibility and adaptability to quickly shift from one task to another as priorities change during the course of the day. An understanding of Pantex site, mission, operations, and geography is essential.

Required Knowledge and Training:
Fifteen or more years of relevant education, training, and/or progressive experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.

Education & Relevant Experience
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience. Minimum four years of supervisor experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or Management or degree acceptable to management with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience. Minimum four years of supervisor experience..

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy “Q“ clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
