Job Summary: Performs with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative, CT scans of designated anatomy and high pressure injection of contrast material to physician specifications. Adheres to necessary radiation safety precautions. On-call rotation. Minimum Requirements: Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Certified by the A.R.R.T. in Diagnostic Radiology. Performs imaging examinations using established protocols with the level of knowledge acquired through completion of occupationally specific education. Member in good standing with the A.R.R.T. Must posses a high degree of maturity and exercise individual judgment in working with patients, equipment and personnel that are involved in CT exams. Must be able to deal effectively and ethically with medical and confidential information relating to patients, families, physicians, and nursing personnel. Performs patient registration and scheduling as needed, verifies insurance information and referrals through insurances and other physicians? offices. Conducts reminder calls to patients.
