Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to support our Alexandria, LA manufacturing operation. Our ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience as an administrator and will provide professional administrative support for our local manufacturing production facility.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the plant manager with administrative tasks including, answering phones, mail, reports and general clerical duties
  • Assist in providing administrative support for monthly and annual processes such as open enrollment, plant meetings, safety and benefits
  • Conducts research for department initiatives and provides detailed summaries of findings
  • Provides local support for the recruiting and pre-hire process for hourly personnel for all manufacturing positions
  • Track philanthropy, donations, and plant events
  • Assist with safety initiatives including; injury report tracking, paperwork, and programs
  • Coordinate the New Hire On-boarding process
  • Partners with Recruiting/HR Department and site management on new hire setup
  • Maintain confidential records
  • Occasionally required to complete off-site, local business errands at the request of the plant manager
  • Completes the compilation and subsequent entry of the daily production efficiency data into a defined database
  • Completes the compilation and subsequent scanning of quality documents into a defined database
  • Coordinate luncheon events for facility meetings and training sessions
  • Provides administrative support for labor reporting in the defined database
  • Assists Operations with the compilation of product manuals
  • Assists Planning with the compilation of production work orders
  • Provide operational support utilizing an ERP system(ie. Inventory Cycle Counts, PO receipts, Shipping Requests)

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (preferred)
  • Experience, 2+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Prior human resources assistant experience a plus
  • Prior experience working within an ERP environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Associates or Technical Degree preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of administrative support preferred
