Data Analyst

The UNM Early Childhood Services Center, Database Services team is seeking a Data Analyst to support the six database projects funded within our department. We provide support to and work in the following database systems: Home Visiting, Infant Mental Health, Resource and Referral, New Mexico PreK, the New Mexico Early Learning System (NMELS), and the New Mexico Tiered Quality Rating and Improvement System (NMTQRIS).

Duties of the Data Analyst include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Providing organizational and database training

* Supporting development

* Completing audits

* Providing database support

* Assisting with reporting to internal and external constituencies.

The selected candidate must have strong communication and networking skills, must meet contract deliverables, provide professional training experiences to database users of varying skill levels, and must understand all aspects of the data workflow cycle (data review, cleanup, and reporting). Computer skills are essential with documented skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. This position participates in high-level meetings which may include planning, writing, project planning, and writing of professional reports.

The ability to travel statewide is required for both training and support of users as well as for contract/system integration meetings which can include overnight travel. A valid NM driver's license and use of personal vehicle is required.

This is a term Appointment: Funding available through 6/30/2018; continuance beyond that date is subject to department's operational needs as outlined in UBPPM #3200.

Conditions of EmploymentMinimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish

Strong communication and networking skills

Documented skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
