Financial Reporting Accountant

Help a growing non-profit serve our community! This position assists in maintaining accounting records and ensuring the fiscal health of the agency. By collecting and analyzing financial data, ensuring that billing and financial reporting is accurate and timely.

Major Activities:

* Incorporate best practices regarding confidentiality into all job duties and communications in accordance with Article 27-F, Alliance for Positive Health policies and procedures and other applicable regulations. Observe and abide by the HIV Confidentiality Law.

* Assist in preparation of Continued Funding Applications, budget modifications and the agency budget.

* Maintain Budget in Solomon financial reporting software.

* Set up Solomon reporting budget to actuals on all grants and report variances.

* Run reports for vouchers with updated budgets.

* Ensure proper vouchering.

* Monitor Spending.

* Assist Director of Finance and Administration with analyzing accounting procedures and methods and other fiscal related activities.

* Assist in preparing Health Home billings.

* Do Medicaid billing and reconcile billing to payments. Follow up on denied claims.

* Assist with Financial Reporting and Analysis.

* Assist Director of Finance and Administration with special projects.

* Work with the Director of Finance and Administration to ensure a healthy fund balance.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree and one/two years experience in financial accounting management with emphasis in non-profit environment and state funding reimbursement procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

* Able to maintain fiscal and management confidential information.

* Proficient with MicroSoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)

* Knowledge of computerized accounting and payroll systems.

* Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities and work independently.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Ability to take direction and flexibility to work in a fast paced office.

* Ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds within a climate of mutual respect, inclusion, enrichment, and growth.

Employment Classification: Non-exempt. Positions: Full-time 37.5 hours and Part-time 18.75 hours
