Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe VDC Director is responsible for the coordinated implementation of the VDC Strategy at the regional level that focuses on the use of state-of-the-art Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) for advanced project collaboration, data management, and risk mitigation to maximize customer value and minimize project cost and schedule. As part of the Global Core VDC Team, the VDC Director develops standard operating procedures and systems and manages / supervises regional VDC and CAD Coordinators and VDC Specialists.\r

Duties and Responsibilities:\r

* Develop and continually improve integrated BIM / VDC best practices, procedures, workflows and technology innovations\r

* Manage and mentor BIM / VDC team members in the development and implementation of BIM / VDC across the region \r

* Represent M+W U.S. in the Global Core VDC Team\r

* Develop and oversee the regional BIM / VDC training program, including webinars, presenting technology deployments and whitepapers.\r

* Lead the collection and dispositioning of BIM / VDC Lessons Learned and share outcomes across the region and with Global Core VDC Team\r

* Provide representation in global forums and workshops to collect and disseminate best practices / lessons learned across the region\r

* Point of contact to Regional and Corporate IT on requirements and schedules for the budgeting, procurement, and roll-out of new and updated of BIM / VDC associated software\r

* Evaluate leading edge technology developments/software, researching and recommending innovative ways to utilize BIM / VDC data to add value to customers and/or increase internal efficiencies\r

* Stay informed of regional client and market sector expectations and participate in related industry organizations and conferences\r

* Develop and maintain strategic relationship with Regional VDC / BIM platform vendors \r

* Support Regional Business Development / Marketing functions in communicating BIM / VDC strategy, capabilities, and experience\r

* Prepare BIM / VDC budgets\r

* Support Project BIM / VDC Coordinators and Project Management in preparations and delivery of project presentations, proposal materials, project interviews, project scope, Owner Agreements, and project Execution Plans\r

* Lead project audits for compliance to BIM / VDC Execution Plan / processes\r

* Provide performance evaluation of BIM / VDC team members\r

Requirements•Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.\r

* Minimum 5 years' involvement in BIM/VDC program implementations with an AEC and/or EPCM firm, preferably for advance technology facilities using Revit and other Autodesk products\r

* Minimum 3 years' of construction field operations, project management, or preconstruction experience\r

* Superior knowledge of VDC technologies, especially in all phases of engineering, construction and pre-construction\r

* Understanding of integrated project workflows and basic project management\r
