The Department of Mental Health is a drug-free workplace. All candidates will be required to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test. This position is located at Aiken Barnwell MHC/Aiken Office (Rehabilitative Services). Job Purpose: Under limited supervision, provides evidence based services (safe, effective and measurable) to promote and support the recovery of persons with mental illness. Job Functions: 1. Provides evidence based services (safe, effective, measurable and quality) to help consumers make informed, independent decisions, to set goals, improve self-worth, independence, enhance empowerment and promote self-determination. This includes a productivity requirement of 840 hours annually/average of 43.08% monthly and documentation of such services. 2. Completes clinical documentation in an appropriate and timely manner that meets Federal/state/QA/CARF standards. 3. Pursues new and better ways of serving our customers (clients, stakeholders, family, etc.) via training. 4. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and accountability to advance our mission including compliance with corporate compliance policies/procedures. 5. Provides quality customer service and networks with stakeholders to increase knowledge of prevention, treatment and recovery services and expand and enhance partnerships in the community. 6. Performs other duties as required.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

A bachelor's degree and professional experience in human services or social services programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Agency Requirements : A master's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences and one (1) year of experience (excluding internships) in a clinical counseling program. Candidate must be licensed or license eligible by the state of South Carolina. Note: When Agency Requirements are indicated, applicants must also meet the Agency Requirements.
