The Delta Air Lines Application Process

The Delta Air Lines application process is very straightforward. Among all the major airlines, their application is one of the most applicant-friendly that you'll ever find.

For the sake of this application guide, we applied for a position as a Reservation Sales Agent. Your experience may vary some depending on the type of position that you're applying for.

At the beginning of the application process, you will need to provide some basic personal information including your name, phone number, email address, and home address.

After you provide your personal information, you will be required to complete a brief (15 question) questionnaire. The questions are very straightforward, and will ask you a series of questions about your work experiences and skills. They will also ask you some additional questions that are designed to make sure that you understand the specifics of the job that you're applying for (including pay and scheduling requirements). Be sure to read each question very carefully, and answer honestly.

When the questionnaire is complete, it will be time to upload your cover letter and resume. Before you do so, make sure that both documents are up to date and are customized for the position to which you're applying. Taking the time to customize your resume and cover letter will go a long way when it comes time for Delta to decide if they should call you in for an interview.

Once your resume and cover letter are uploaded, your application will be complete. Take a moment to review all of your information. Once you're happy with everything you've provided, go ahead and submit it.

Background check

During the application process, you will be asked to consent to a pre-employment background check. Any employment offer that you receive will be contingent upon passing this background check.

Drug test

You will also be required to consent to a pre-employment drug screening. As with the background check, any offer of employment you receive will be contingent upon passing the drug test.
