The Comcast Application Process

For this application guide, we applied for a customer service representative job. Your application experience may vary depending on the type of job that you are applying for.

Before you can fill out the Comcast application, you will need to create an account on their hiring site. To create an account, you will need to provide your name and your email address.

Once your account is created, Comcast will give you the opportunity to upload your resume. Providing your resume isn't required at this point, but you should consider providing it. Comcast will read through your resume and use it to fill out many of the application fields for you. If you would rather fill out everything by hand, you can skip this resume upload and fill in all the fields manually.

Over the course of the application, you will need to provide a lot of personal information including your name, home address, email address, phone number, education, and work experience. Make sure that you have accurate employment and education dates before you begin the application, as you will need to provide them.

With your personal information entered, you will have the opportunity to attach any relevant documents like your resume, cover letter, or portfolio (if relevant for the job that you're applying for). Even though it isn't technically required to provide any attachments (the system will let you continue without providing any), you should act as if it is required. Getting an interview without providing a resume or cover letter will likely be very difficult. Additionally, you should take some time to customize your cover letter and resume for the position that you are applying for. Not only with that make it clear that you are interested in the position, it will also give you the opportunity to demonstrate exactly how your experiences have prepared you for the job.

After you provide any relevant attachments, you will be asked why you are applying for the job. You will have a text box where you can type your answer. Answer this question very carefully. What is it about the job that is appealing to you? How does it match up with your experiences and goals? Is there anything about the company's values or culture that you particularly relate to?

Background check and drug test

During the application, you will need to consent to a pre-employment background check and drug test. Any employment offers that you receive will be contingent upon passing both of these.

How to Get Updates on Your Comcast Application

Comcast does not provide automatic application updates at this time. If you have already applied for a job and would like to know where you stand, you will need to contact the company directly.
