Apply Online
To apply directly through Starbucks, head over to their corporate career site at http://www.starbucks.com/career-center and fill out an online job application. You can apply to up to five stores at the same time when you submit a job application online. That can be a great time-saver, and you’ll want to make the most of it. Note: If you live in an area where there are more than five Starbucks locations where you’d be willing to work, it would be a good idea to call the stores individually to find out if they’re hiring. You don’t want to use up one of your five potential locations on a store that isn’t hiring. Choose wisely.
Apply in person
You can’t apply in person at standalone Starbucks stores, but you can do so at some of the franchised stores found in places like grocery stores, Target, or Barnes & Noble. Do your homework, find out which application methods are available to you, and make a decision based on your preferences.

The Starbucks Application Process

Overview
The Starbucks job application is simple, and takes approximately 10 – 20 minutes to complete, depending on how much preparation you’ve done beforehand and how quickly you’re able to type and navigate through the process. The application is focused on your work / education history and scheduling preferences. If you aren’t available to work the busiest shifts, getting a job can be more difficult. So in most cases, flexibility is key, and you should do your best to demonstrate your flexibility on the application. Also, be sure to double (and triple) check your Starbucks job applications before you submit it. You will not be able to edit any information once it’s submitted.
Background check
When you apply to Starbucks, you give them permission to perform a background check. So make sure that you’re honest about any criminal convictions – chances are good that they will be discovered anyway.
How long does Starbucks keep your application on file?
An application for a barista or shift supervisor position will remain in their database for 60 days. So if you apply and don’t hear back within 60 days, you will need to apply again to be considered. Applications for other positions remain in the database for a year.
