Apply online

If you prefer, you can search and apply through jobs directly through Domino's hiring website. The application is exactly the same as it as on StartWire, and applying through the employer provides no special advantages. But if you do choose to take that route, you can still use StartWire to track your application history.

Paper application

Not all Domino's Pizza locations are equipped to accept online job applications. In those cases, you will need to either go into the store to fill out an application in person, or download a printable application form from the Domino's website (a link will provided to you if the store does not accept online applications).

The Domino's Pizza Application Process

The Domino's Pizza application process is pretty simple and straightforward. You should expect to spend between 30-40 minutes to complete it. If you are interrupted during the process, you can come back later and pick up where you left off.

The Domino's job search process is a little different than that of most other employers. Rather than search for a job, you enter your address and search by location. You will then be presented with a list of locations in your area. Selecting a location shows you the openings available at that store. While this is nice in some ways, it's a little frustrating in others. For example, if you wanted to apply for the same position at multiple stores, you'll have to go through the entire process for each store.

The application is comprised of three different sections, each with their own area of focus. Below, we've outlined each section in detail:

Section 1

The first section of the application is designed to collect your personal information (name, phone number, social security number, address, etc). This will be very familiar to you if you've ever filled out an application before, and should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete.

Section 2

The second section of the application will ask you about your work experience, education, and availability. The section also contains a series of simple math questions that you should have no trouble with if you're able to multiply and divide. To give you an idea of what to expect, here's an example question:

If a store had 150 boxes to store in the back, and space for only 5 stacks, how many boxes would you need to put in each stack?

In this section you will also need to provide two references. Professional references are preferred, but personal references are also acceptable if you don't have any work experience.

Section 3

The third section of the application is an assessment. This section will take you 15-20 minutes to complete, and is designed to help Domino's determine if you would make a good fit with their organization.

This assessment has three types of questions. Some questions ask about your experiences and thoughts. Others ask how you would handle a variety of work situations. There are also questions that ask you to solve problems. There are 46 questions in total.

To give you an idea of the types of questions you are likely to be asked, here are a few examples:

"My friends would describe me as someone who is good at putting myself in other people's shoes."

"How do you normally react when someone is being critical of you or your work?"

For each question, you must decide between five potential answers. As a general rule, you should always try to be strong in your convictions -- don't be wishy-washy. Put yourself in the employer's shoes. Would you rather hire someone who is 'always on time' or 'sometimes on time?' Or someone who 'never steals' vs. someone who 'doesn't know'?

Background check

During the application process, Domino's Pizza will request your permission to perform a pre-employment background check. You must give them permission in order to complete the application.

Drug test

Domino's will also require your consent to both a pre-employment drug test and random drug tests. They are committed to a drug-free workplace, so failing a drug test at anytime could result in the loss of employment.

Types of people Domino's Pizza wants to hire

Domino's wants to hire hardworking, dependable, and honest people to join their team. Schedule availability is very important as well -- if you can't work Friday and Saturday evenings, you may have difficultly getting a job.

As you read through the job descriptions and assessment questions, you should get a good idea of the qualities that Domino's values. Dependability, honesty, and the ability to work well on a team are some of the qualities that they value the most. You should do your best to emphasize those traits during the application and interview process.

Age requirements

Customer service representatives (the people who cook the food and answer the phone) need to be at least 16. To be a driver or manager, you will need to be at least 18.

The store was a success, and it wasn't long before it started to expand. By 1978, there were more than 200 Domino's Pizza locations.

Tom Monaghan remained as the leader of the company until his retirement in 1998. He sold nearly all of the company to Bain Capital. In 2004, Bain Capital decided to make the company public. Their stock has been traded ever since, under the ticker symbol 'DPZ.'
