Apply online

If you prefer, you can apply through Hilton's hiring website instead. If you do choose to use their site instead of ours, don't forget to come back and tell us about your application so we can help you keep an accurate record of where and when you applied. Not everyone realizes it, but keeping your job search organized is a very critical element when it comes to finding a job. At StartWire, we will provide you with the tools that you will need to make the most of your time.

The Hilton Application Process

For this application guide, we applied for a Steward position. Though your application should be very similar to ours, it's possible that your experience will vary a little bit depending on the position that you're applying for.

Before you can begin the Hilton application process, you will need to register on their hiring site. To register, you will need to provide your email address, an account username, and account password, and an answer to a security question.

After you register, you will have the option to upload your resume. Uploading your resume is optional at this point, but providing it can save you a lot of time. Hilton will read through your resume and use the information it finds to fill out many of the application fields for you. If you do choose to upload your resume, make sure that you check all of the fields that they fills in for you. While their program worked perfectly for us, it's possible that it could make a mistake -- and it would stink to miss out on a great job opportunity on account of their mistake. If you prefer not to provide your resume at this point, that's ok too. You can fill in all of the fields by hand.

During the application, Hilton will ask you for many pieces of personal information including your address, name, birthday, social security number, references, work history, education, and salary requirements. Make sure that you have all of this information (including the exact date that you started your previous jobs) before you begin the application. If you have to pause the application to go hunt down the information you need, it's possible that the application could time out and information could be lost. Make sure that all of the information you provide is accurate, as it will very likely be verified by Hilton during the background check process.

Once your personal information is entered, you will have the opportunity to provide any relevant attachments that you may have (including your resume and cover letter). If you haven't already done so, you should take some time to tailor your resume and cover letter for the position that you are applying for. This will help you show genuine interest in Hilton, and will give you the opportunity to demonstrate exactly how your previous experiences have prepared you for the position.

Before you submit your application, make sure that you take a minute to review all the information that you entered. Once you're happy with what you've done, you can go ahead and submit it.

Background check and drug test

At one point in the job application, you will be required to consent to a pre-employment background check and drug test. Any employment offer that you receive will be contingent upon passing both of these.

How to Get Updates on Your Hilton Application

When you apply for a job at Hilton through your StartWire account, we will provide you with automatic application updates. Gone are the days where you would need to chase down the hiring manager or the human resources department to find out if you're still being considered. We'll let you know when your application has been reviewed, and if you are still being considered for the position(s) you've applied for. Sign up now
