Paper application

Many KFC restaurants are franchises, and franchise owners may have their own hiring practices. While corporate-owned restaurants do not accept paper applications, some franchise owners do. To find out if the location near you accepts paper applications, just give them a call.

The KFC Application Process

The KFC application should take you between 30-40 minutes to complete. It's comprised of two major sections, each of which we'll talk about in detail below.

Section 1

The first section of the application is designed to collect your personal information. You will need to provide your name, phone number, address, social security number, work history, availability, and pay requirements. You will also need to provide at least one reference, which can be either personal or professional.

If you have a resume prepared, you can upload that as well. Though it isn't required, adding a resume provides you with an opportunity to highlight some qualities and experiences that are difficult to get across during the formal application process. If you have a resume on hand, you should definitely take advantage of this feature.

Section 2

The second section of the application is an assessment. The assessment is designed to help KFC determine if you would make a good fit for their organization.

You will be asked about 30 questions during the assessment. To give you an idea of what you can expect, here are a couple examples:

"I can get frustrated when I try to do more than one thing at a time."

"While you are picking up trash in the parking lot, a customer asks you for help. What would you do?"

It's important to answer the questions honestly, but don't be afraid to give strong answers. For example, if you were an employer, would you rather hire someone who would 'definitely' turn in someone for stealing? Or someone who 'might' turn someone in?

If a question seems a little vague, think about why KFC might be asking it. What are they trying to learn about you through the question?

How to Get Updates on Your KFC Application

Unfortunately, KFC does not provide automatic application updates at this time. If you want to check on the status of your job application, you will need to call the hiring manager at the location where you applied.
