Paper application

Tim Hortons also offers a paper application that you can use to apply for a job in their stores. To get one, stop by your local Tim Hortons location and fill it out in person. This can be a great way to make a personal connection with a hiring manager, and can improve your chances of getting the job.

The Tim Hortons Application Process

Tim Hortons has one of the nicest and most user-friendly online applications out there. From start to finish, the entire application process shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes to complete.

To start out the application, you will need to provide your personal information like your name, phone number, address, and social security number. Compared to most employers, they ask for very little information, which is very appreciated.

Once your personal information is entered, you will simply have to select the position that you want (team member or management). From there, you simply have to select the location at which you would like to work.

You will also have an opportunity to enter in your interests and hobbies outside of work, which gives you an opportunity to stand out a little bit against the competition and personalize an otherwise generic application process. With that said, make sure that the hobbies and interests you list are not controversial. Only list things that will paint you in a positive light.

From here, you will need to enter your availability (when can you start, and what times you're available to work each day), and your employment history. Then you will need to answer a very brief series of questions. To give you an idea of what to expect, here are a few examples:

"What is important to you as a guest at Tim Hortons?"

"Making our guests happy is our number one priority. How would you help us make that happen?"

The fields are free-form, so you can type directly into the answer box. Though it might be a little difficult to come up with a good answer, it's nice that Tim Hortons offers this type of question. Most applications don't really give you a chance to stand out as a person.

The final part of the application will ask you to provide up to three references. Only one reference is required, though we would suggest adding all three if you have them.

How to Get Updates on Your Tim Hortons Application

Unfortunately, Tim Hortons doesn't offer automatic application updates at this time. If you would like to learn where you stand or find out if you're still being considered for the position to which you've applied, you will need to contact the hiring manager directly.
