The Chrysler Application Process

For this application guide, we applied for a job as a Controls Engineer. While this guide should be helpful for all types of jobs, your application experience may vary a little bit depending on the position you're applying for.

Before you can start to fill out your application, you will need to create an account on Chrysler's hiring website. To register, you will only need to provide your email address and an account password.

Once your account is created, you will need to provide some basic personal information including your name, address, and phone number.

With your personal information entered, you will have the opportunity to upload your resume and cover letter. Before you upload these documents, you should take some time to customize it for the position that you are applying for. Generic resumes and cover letters are often discarded, so taking the time to customize yours for the position that you're applying for will not only show that you are serious about the opportunity, it will give you the chance to demonstrate exactly how your previous experiences have directly prepared you for the job.

After you upload your resume and cover letter, you will need to take a brief questionnaire. The questions will ask you about any affiliations you have with Chrysler, your eligibility to work in the United States, and other similar questions. Read each question carefully, and make sure to always answer honestly.

The questionnaire also contains some long answer questions including:

"Why are you interested in this position?"

"What are you looking for in your next position?"

"What is one attribute of your current job that you enjoy the most? What would you say you enjoy the least?"

"What type of work environment brings out your best performance?"

Make sure that you give yourself plenty of time to write well thought out and relevant answers. Where possible, you should try to convey your interest in the position and ways that your previous experiences have prepared you for the job.

Background check and drug test

During the application process, you will need to consent to a pre-employment background check and drug test. Any employment offer that you receive will be contingent upon passing both of these tests.

How to Get Updates on Your Chrysler Application

Chrysler does not provide automatic application updates at this time. If you have already applied for a position and would like to know if you're still being considered, you will need to contact the hiring manager or human resources department directly.
