Parsons is looking for an Systems Integration & Test Engineer to support our international Border Security Systems implementation efforts. We are seeking an energetic, self-starter who can work with minimal oversight and who can deliver top notch results. Travel will be required to support projects in Lebanon with additional travel to support other projects in Middle East Africa, Southeast Asia, and Former Soviet Union countries. This is an exciting opportunity that will involve you with work that helps protect US Allies from foreign threats at their borders.


The Systems Integration & Test Engineer will be a member of the integration team and test team. As a member you will work to install and configure remote sensors consisting of EO/IR IP cameras, ground or maritime radar systems, unattended ground sensors, and other sensor types. You will install and configure common operating picture software to display a fused picture of the border surveillance sensors. You will assist with the designs and implementations of the WAN and LANs, Microsoft-based IT infrastructure and VoIP subsystems. Additionally, you will deploy and integrate core IP services to include routing, VLANs, network health and status tools, network management tools, Active Directory, DNS, NTP, Anti-Virus and firewall rules. Your tasking will enable the IP network to transport remote sensors data streams to command and control and decision support subsystems. You will be responsible for developing test cases for system and subsystem requirements verification testing. You will perform both integration testing at the in-country integration lab and final acceptance testing at the border sites and command centers. You will be responsible to troubleshoot and repair faulty configurations and equipment as part of the integration and testing efforts.


* Assist with architecting IP network and command and control subsystems

* Assist with integration of point to point and point to multipoint microwave radios that formulate the IP WAN

* Develop configuration blueprints for equipment and software subsystems

* Install, configure and test Windows Server, SQL Server, Exchange, Active directory

* Design and implement infrastructure and network services such as DNS, NTP, Group Policy, AV, VoIP Telephony

* Install, configure and test common operating system and network video recorder applications

* Install and integrate network management suites such as Solarwinds

* Integrate and test long-range, IP-based sensors

* Develop integration plans and test plans for overall border surveillance system

* Develop test cases that exercise the surveillance system and validate system functionality and requirements satisfaction

Required Skills/Competencies:

* Extensive working knowledge of Cisco IP networking design and protocols; Cisco certifications desired

* Basic understanding of microwave-based IP data links

* Knowledge of remote sensing sensors and their data stream protocols such as multicast, unicast, RTSP

* Hands on designing, configuring and testing of Microsoft infrastructure to include Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server; Microsoft certification desired

* Basic understanding of video management systems such as FLIR Cameleon

* Hands on experience with hardware and software test methods

* Proficiency in English & Arabic preferred

* Must be willing to work in Lebanon for extended periods of time


* BS/MS degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or related field)

* 8-12 years of related work experience

* 7-10 years related experience performing design, integration and test of IP networks
