Job Description


The Quality Engineering Technician will assist Quality Engineering in process and product quality evaluation through a series of measurements and statistical analysis. Provide technical assistance in determining process capability. Participate in cross-functional team improvement activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform Initial Failure Analysis evaluation on customer returned product

* Work with Quality and Process Engineers in finding root cause & corrective actions to reported quality issues.Document and report findings

* Coordinate RMA (Returned Material Authorization) process.Issuing, receiving, analyzing and closing RMA events

* Prepare weekly and monthly reports to management on RMA activity

* Oversees and maintains equipment and tool calibration program

* < >Assist with a variety of tasks associated with the collection and reporting of statistical process control data

* Utilizes quality techniques to track, analyze, interpret and report on processes and products to ensure they meet the company's quality standards in the form of graphs, charts and written presentations

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

* Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job

* Team player and able to communicate with all levels of organization

* Work with minimal supervision

* Knowledge of quality improvement techniques, problem solving, ISO-9000 etc

Education & Experience:

* High School Diploma required with some college, technical or advanced course work preferred

* Prior Experience in electronics manufacturing preferred

* Work Experience in a Quality department preferred
