Systems Engineer in the Parsons Federal organization. Primary (full-time) work assignment will be part of a multi-discipline, multi-source government/industry team providing engineering, engineering management and general technical/scientific support/services/products as an integral member of DoD/IC program offices. Secondary assignments possible including new business development, proposal support, and on-call specialist/expert contribution to other direct charge programs under, related or similar to the primary assignment. Local and some US Travel is anticipated.

More specific joint program office acquisition and engineering activity support responsibilities include:

* Developing and managing engineering project plans

* Drafting Statements of Work (SOW)

* Technical evaluation of contractor proposals

* Supporting the government Program Manager (PM) with day-to-day management of executing agent/contractor execution

* Integration of activities supported by several government and contractor organizations to plan and execute readiness events

* Systems engineering analysis and process management

* Model & Simulation based system/architecture performance analysis

* Independent technical and programmatic assessment

* Technical performance assessments

* Transition to operations analysis

* Development of system architecture products

* Development and review of engineering requirements, CONOPS and integrated schedules

* Configuration management

* Risk analysis and mitigation development


* 8+ years of related systems engineering experience

* Experience with all dimensions of the Systems Engineering "V"

* Experience in prototype definition, development, deployment, test/demonstration operations

* Familiarity with Overhead Persistent Infrared sensor and other sensors space and ground segments

* Ability to self-manage and initiate within team structure

* Ability to decompose complex problems to actionable elements

* Ability to work with a diverse team of personnel representing various government organizations, FFRDC, SETA, and development contractors

* Familiarity with DoD and IC communities

* BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics or related required

* Ability to obtain/maintain active TS Clearance and eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
