Caldera Medical is a growth stage medical device company dedicated to improving the quality of life for women. We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and capable individual looking to start their accounting career. The Accounting Intern will have exposure to many aspects of the business, as well as the opportunity to interact and work with every department, at all levels of the company. The Accounting Intern will be reporting to the Sr. Accounting Manager and is responsible for many of the critical day-to-day accounting functions, including issuing purchase orders, entering invoices, accounts receivable collections, preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, T&E expense audit and recording, processing weekly check runs, making corporate purchases, data entry, and ad-hoc research and analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Post accurate and timely purchase orders and invoices

* Post and apply customer payments

* Actively perform Accounts Receivable collection tasks

* Assist with weekly check runs

* Perform timely review and audit of T&E expense reports

* Record accurate and timely T&E expense journal entries

* Perform timely credit card account reconciliations

* Assist with special projects, ad-hoc research, and analysis

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be available for full-time employment

Internship runs from January through March 2019

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or majority of coursework completed)

* Any prior internships, bookkeeping, or GL accounting experience a plus

* Proficient with Microsoft Excel

* Organized and detail-oriented

* Strong work-ethic, initiative, and drive for improvement and success

* Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities

* Ability to seek out, identify, and assist with process improvements

* Ability to work independently and in a team environment

* Ability to demonstrate a positive and flexible work attitude

* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization
