As a Cybersecurity Engineer you will serve as a core member of Parsons' Cyber Solutions Center cybersecurity team. We provide enhanced Critical Infrastructure Protection and Industrial Control Systems security for our customers in both the commercial and federal space including threat awareness, proactive network traffic analysis, incident response, forensic analysis, and incident resolution. Instead of being a one-track engineer, you will integrate the craft of network, software, and systems engineers to mitigate risks, prevent malicious intrusions, and secure the homeland.

Required Qualifications:

* A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a cybersecurity engineer

* BS degree in computer science or a related discipline; (MS degree in cybersecurity or a related field can serve in lieu of 1 year of experience)

* Networking Experience (Professional experience managing and configuring routers, switches and firewalls) and packet-level examination and analysis

* Systems Experience maintaining and administering production Windows, Unix/Linux OSs including RedHat/CentOS and Free BSD variants,and managing and securing enterprise environments

* Security technology experience including: Intrusion Detection, Security Logging, Firewall Administration, Threat Intelligence and security monitoring

* Software proficiency with C/C++ and Python, Perl, Ruby or other scripts.

* Flexible, self-starter, well-spoken, with ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS 20% annually.

Desired Qualifications:

* Experience with the following tools and technologies: Bro, NetFlow, Syslog; tcpdump, SIEM solutions, Snort, Splunk, Nagios, etc.

* Experience with VMware infrastructure including performance tuning, capacity planning, managing clusters of ESX servers and policy creation.

* Experience with the following standards and frameworks: NIST SP 800-53, 800-82, OWASP, PTES

* Experience performing security assessments, penetration testing, and incident response

* Vulnerability research and exploit development

* OSCP, OSCE, GIAC SEC/FOR, CEH, LPT, CPT, CISSP, and/or CCNA certification(s)
