We see 80+ job postings near the company’s headquarters in the Chicago suburbs of Lake Forest. Positions available run from Marketing and Financial Analysts to SEO.

Pepsi Bottles Go Green (Almost); Has 700+ Jobs Posted

Pepsi has unveiled a new bottle that looks like a regular plastic bottle but which is composed of 100% plant material.

Perhaps they anticipate a bump in sales? We see hiring for 700+ positions nationwide, for jobs ranging from sales and merchandising to distribution and quality control. Many of the jobs are in the Midwest and in rural areas.

60+ New Corporate Jobs in PA’s Lehigh Valley

Avantor Performance Materials, an international chemical manufacturing company, plans to move corporate headquarters to Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. They’ll be hiring for an estimated 60 jobs for corporate positions paying $80K a year on average. The 60 new hires will join 140 current Avantor employees.

Avantor processes and distributes high purity acids, solvents, organic and inorganic chemicals for laboratory, pharmaceutical and microelectronic industries.

LaBarge: One of Forbes Best for Job Offers, Hiring for 30+ Jobs

Who wouldn’t want to look at companies with a history of steadily rising payrolls and the prospect of strong top-line growth over the next four years? Forbes picked 16 such companies for their Best Companies for Job Offers list; one of the named entities is LaBarge—now hiring for 30+ jobs in sales, engineering, and purchasing.

Think manufacturing is dead? It’s very alive at Labarge, a St. Louis, Mo., company that does contract electronics assembly for defense suppliers and for other manufacturers. It supplies machinery to Owens-Illinois bottle factories, for example,” Forbes’ William Baldwin writes.

Demand for New Cockpits Fuels Hiring of 800 at Rockwell Collins

Never mind the fuel prices, orders for airplanes are picking up. The trickle down effect is a good one: jobs! Rockwell Collins, a manufacturer of cockpits, reports plans to hire over 800 new employees this year.

Here’s a link to current position postings. We see over 500 jobs posted for Cedar Rapids, Iowa with other jobs listed nationwide. There are a couple dozen sales, project management positions, and analyst jobs in the DC suburbs; we also see a few gigs with Rockwell Collins contractors in New York and San Francisco.

Many of the positions at Rockwell Collins are for engineers. Engineers love networking through professional associations, check out the American Institute of Astronautics and Aeronautics (AIAA). While Syracuse is known more for snow than sunlight, Proterra LED and SunEnergy, a B2B manufacturer of solar systems are both moving in with big hiring plans.

Biovest to Add Jobs to Twin Cities

Biovest International will likely add “hundreds” of new jobs in the Twin Cities. The Tampa, Florida based company is renovating a manufacturing facility and preparing to add staff so that that can get a cancer-fighting vaccine to market as soon as it receives FDA approval.

Daimler to Hire 700 U.S. Workers

Transport Topics Online reports that Daimler AG has announced plans to hire 700 U.S. workers in North Carolina as part of their expansion initiatives in truck manufacturing. Headquartered in Stuggart, Germany, Daimler’s products include Mercedes Benz and the tight parking space friendly smart car.

Daimler currently has 140 positions posted nationwide, with a number of opportunities available in Detroit and Boston suburbs. Positions include sales, engineering, and project management.

Intel Hiring Big Nationwide, growing in Arizona

Intel has over 5,000 job postings, with a concentration in Oregon, San Francisco, New York and the DC suburbs.

Another growth area for Intel: Arizona. Intel has announced plans to build a new $5 billion dollar plant that is predicted to create 1,000 new jobs in Chandler, Arizona. The plant will be completed in 2013; The Arizona Republic estimated that 14,000 temporary construction and construction spin-off jobs will be created as the new plant is built.
