We are looking for a business intelligence expert to help us evolve our data landscape in order to deliver high impact, high visibility dashboards and reporting. As a member of our nimble team, you will leverage your passion for BI to seek out and structure data to propel our reporting and analytics capabilities forward. You and the team will work closely with senior leaders to understand their information needs and then build solutions to deliver the key metrics to business decisions. As a Programmer/Analyst in HR, your work will have a truly global impact on our rapidly growing employee population.

Responsibilities include:

Design structured, multi-source data solutions to deliver the dashboards and reports that make data actionable Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources to continually improve data quality Support data analysts and product managers by turning business requirements into functional specifications and then executing delivery Lead the technical lifecycle of data presentation from data sourcing to transforming into user-facing metrics Write research papers for internal audiences and share and engage the BI community to share and learn best practices

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or related field 10+ years of experience in DW/BI Strong background in data relationships, modeling, and mining Technical guru; SQL expert and proficient in other scripts like R, Python, JavaScript, etc. Proficient at developing and managing effective working relationships with leadership Good instincts; you know what it means to be a subject matter expert and how to be a team player Ability to work independently and problem solve with little to no direction Accountability: sound judgment and a capacity to handle confidential information appropriately Impeccable customer service focus with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations Attention to detail; you prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing the ability to dive deep

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in related field AND 8+ years’ experience in MicroStrategy MicroStrategy Certified Developer (MCD) Experience with D3.js and RedShift Experience with various database schema designs Knowledge of UI/UX best practices Working knowledge of HR data and systems (i.e. PeopleSoft) Amazon is an Equal Opportunity Employer
