QA Inspector II (218566-976)

Inspect material received and finished product to ensure conformance to purchase order, drawing, and/or specification requirements. Perform in process inspection as required.

Working with limited supervision to verify product compliance to identified requirements.

Follow inspection plans and statistical sampling plans.

Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.

Accurately generate the necessary quality documentation required by each customer.

Work cooperatively with other inspectors, quality engineers, and manufacturing engineers.

Participate in root cause investigations of non-conformances.

Assist in material containment actions as required.

Required Skills

Ability to work with limited supervision.

Ability to visually identify electronics parts and components

Ability to review and interpret customer/industry specifications & workmanship standards.

Substantial experience with Microsoft Word and Excel (required).

Familiar with statistical process control techniques (desired, but not necessary)

Ability to perform mathematical calculations for inspection verification.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.

Prior experience writing First Article Inspection Reports per SAE AS9102 (desired, but not required).

Required Experience

High school diploma / trade school (minimum)

2 years or more of electronic quality related experience (highly desired)

5 years of electronics assembly related experience (highly desired)

Certification in the following industry standards:

J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies. (desired, but will train)

IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies (desired, but not necessary)

IPC/WHMA-A-620 Cable / Wire Harness Acceptance Standard (desired, but not necessary)

Familiar with ESD control practices and principles.
