Job Description As an instructor, you should be prepared for a summer filled with personal and professional growth, classroom management practice, and a whole lot of FUN!


Spring: Curriculum Training – TBA

Summer: Full Time (6-7 weeks June-August)

• Approach education with passion and excitement

• Set-up, organize and manage your classroom

• Lead four rotations of enrichment curriculum daily (themes vary by position and week)

• Manage Counselors and LITs while in the classroom

• Refine curriculum and add personal contributions

• Build positive role model relationships with campers

• Work closely with the Camp Director and other staff members to create fun camp games, songs, skits, and activities (and participate in them!)

• Assist in daily camper check-in and check-out

• Interact with parents in a professional and energetic manner

• Help cultivate confidence and self-esteem, as well as a natural love for learning

• Instill the EDMO Vibe of kindness, respect, honesty and FUN in all campers

Qualifications • Degree in a related field and/or relevant experience

• Classroom teaching experience preferred but not required

• Experience (and a love for!) working with kids

• High sense of responsibility and dependability

• Previous camp experience preferred but not required

• Experience talking and interacting with parents

• Contagious enthusiasm and charisma

• Strong team player

• Creativity, flexibility, and excellent multi-tasking skills

• Experience facilitating groups of children and/or working youth programs with proven classroom management is preferred

• A youth programs rock star!

• A large supply of costumes and/or a plethora of skits and songs in your back pocket is a PLUS!

Position Note:

Do not be discouraged if you only have experience/expertise in one subject area. You are still eligible for the position.

Additional Information Salary:

$500-$700 per week DOE


7:45AM-4:15PM: Monday-Friday

Additional overtime hours are also available until 6:00PM.


- This is a Full-Time Summer Position running 6-7 weeks during June-August. Please see the location tab on the website for each location’s dates. Staff training will take place the week prior to the start date.
