Supply Chain Business Process Analyst

Overview

Provides analytics support to the Global Transportation and Logistics team through the creation, management, and interpretation of data and information. The Global Transportation and Logistics Business Analyst supports all modes of transportation globally including small package, LTL and FTL trucking, international Freight Forwarding and adjacent services as well as 3PL Distribution Operations. The Global Transportation and Logistics Business Analyst creates and utilizes tools for data aggregation, data normalization and cleansing, data visualization, and reporting through dashboards, scorecards, and other various tables and charts. Examples of analytics include carrier and 3PL performance metrics, transportation spend analysis, and pricing comparisons. Additionally, the Global Transportation and Logistics Business Analyst addresses data inaccuracies or data source issues as needed and drives or supports projects to address trends, issues or other findings as identified in the analytics created.

Responsibilities

- Supports the Global Transportation and Logistics group with analysis on spend, contract pricing proposals, service, waste, opportunity, and trends

- Creates metrics, databases and visibility tools for the Global Transportation and Logistics group to manage the services provided by logistics partners including 3PL warehouses, parcel carriers, international freight forwarders, trucking companies and adjacent services including freight payment partners and brokers.

- Reviews input data from internal or external sources and resolves for root data inaccuracies and normalization

- Builds tools to facilitate RFP and pricing proposal analysis performed by the Global Transportation and Logistics group

- Uses the data generated to extrapolate solutions or identify root cause issues, recommending changes in process or policy.

- Drives mid-sized projects related to data analysis performed

- Other ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications

- Five to eight years relevant experience in transportation analytics

- Advanced competency in database tools including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access

- Advanced experience in transportation and logistics spend modeling, parcel contract modeling, contract what-if comparison analysis, and performance metrics creation and scorecard maintenance

- Experience in working with global partners

- Experience in working with all modes of transportation, including small package, international freight, and LTL/FTL

- Solid communication skills including experience in communicating upwards

- Capable and experienced in working independently with access to management on a remote basis

- Experience in working with 3PL warehouse data a plus

- Project management experience a plus
