Sr. Operations Specialist (Mountain View, CA)

The selected applicant will:

* Provide human systems integration acquisition requirements analysis and specialized engineering support.

* Research, analyze, and develop recommendations for Air Force and DOD acquisition policy and guidance as it applies to integrating human physical and cognitive performance capabilities with technological systems.

* Research and provide technical analysis for the preparation of programmatic documentation and responses to Congressional, DOD, Air Force Secretariat, and/or Air Staff.

* Research, analyze, and develop recommendations for Air Force and DOD education and training courses on human systems integration.

* Monitor and summarize human-related requirements in Air Force weapon system requirements as detailed in draft or approved requirements documents to support quick-response analyses and presentations.

* Support program-specific efforts like Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development, Capability Development Documents (CDD), Capability Production Documents (CPD), Information Exchange Requirements (IER), and requirements working groups.

* Provide honest broker assessments of approaching milestone decisions and of prime contractor technical and operational issues.

Education/Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A Master's Degree in engineering or a technical discipline (including systems management or engineering management) and ten (10) years of experience is required. The ten (10) years of experience must entail technical or program management experience in industry or government; at least five (5) of the years of experience must be in supporting DoD acquisition. Knowledge of Air Staff/OSD organizations and of the Air Force acquisition system, organizations and relevant processes is required. DAWIA III (or equivalent) certification in Systems Engineering (SE), Program Management (PM), or Test & Evaluation (T&E) is required. A Bachelor's Degree in human factors engineering, human factors psychology, environmental engineering, occupational safety or systems safety (or equivalent field) is preferred.

Education and experience is a contract requirement.
