The Nationwide Application Process

For this application guide, we applied for a position as a Financial Services Representative. Though applications for all positions are very similar, you may find that your experience varies a little bit depending on the position that you apply for.

Before you can apply for a job at Nationwide, you will need to register on their hiring site. To register, you will simply need to provide a username and password. This account can be reused for any other position that you choose to apply for, so it would be a good idea to save it in a safe place.

Once your account is created, you will have the opportunity to either upload or copy / paste your resume. Providing your resume at this point is optional, but it can help you complete the application more quickly. Nationwide will read through your application and use the information that it finds to fill in many of the application fields for you. If you do choose to upload your resume, make sure that you doublecheck everything to make sure that their program didn't make any mistakes. It worked perfectly for us, but there aren't any guarantees, and it would stink to submit bad information on account of an error that their software made.

During the application, you will need to provide the following pieces of personal information: your name, address, email address, phone number, scheduling preferences, work experience, education, licenses and certifications (if relevant), and language skills. In today's hiring world, many employers request just about every piece of personal information you could think of. It's nice that Nationwide only asks for the information that they absolutely need to determine if they would like to bring you in for an interview. Their entire system is very intuitive and very applicant friendly.

If you decided not to provide your resume at the beginning of the application process, you will want to make sure that you add one before you submit your application. Make sure that you take some time to customize your resume for the position that you are applying for. This is your opportunity to demonstrate exactly how your previous experiences have prepared you for the job.

How to Get Updates on Your Nationwide Application

Nationwide does not provide automatic application updates at this time. If you have already applied for a job and would like to know if you are still being considered, you will need to contact the company directly.
