The GEICO Application Process

For this application guide, we applied for a job as a Sales Representative. Though the application is pretty much identical for all jobs, your experience may vary a little bit depending on the position that you apply for.

Before you can begin the application process, you will need to create an account on GEICO's hiring site. Creating an account is simple, and will only take a minute of your time. To register, you will need to provide your email address, an account username, and an account password.

Once your account is created, you will need to provide some personal information including your name, social security number, home address, email address, phone number, desired start date, scheduling preferences, desired salary, work history, education, licenses and certifications (if applicable), and languages spoken. Before you begin the application, it would be a good idea to make sure that you have all of this information prepared. When it comes to the job search process, few things are more frustrating than forgetting a piece of information and having your application time out while you search for it.

After you provide your personal information, you will need to take a brief questionnaire. These questions are designed to collect some basic information from you including your authorization to work in the United States, your veteran status, your criminal background (if any). There is also a set of questions that asks why you are applying for the job, and if you have good computer and customer service skills. There are no trick questions in the questionnaire section. Be sure to read each question carefully, and answer honestly.

Background check and drug test

At the end of the application, you will need to consent to a pre-employment background check and drug test. Any employment offer that you receive will be contingent upon passing both of these tests.

How to Get Updates on Your GEICO Application

GEICO does not provide automatic application updates. If you have already applied for a job and would like to know if you are still being considered, you will need to contact GEICO directly.
